Our Courses

CTSN SCITT offer non-salaried primary and secondary Initial Teacher Training (ITT) courses.

We routinely offer courses in Primary ages 5 to 11 or 3 to 7 and most Secondary school subjects. For secondary, the course is 11-16 years age range, i.e. Key Stages 3 & 4. however, for the psychology and business studies courses the age range is 14-19 years, i.e. Key Stages 4 & 5.

If you are interested in a subject that is not listed, please contact us as we may be able to run a programme for you.

Most of our training routes are also available part-time (please ask), and / or on a salaried basis. For primary and secondary salaried courses you must already have a school that is willing to employ you throughout your training. Before applying, you will need to have liaised with a school who is willing to employ you for the duration of the course. For secondary applicants we may be able to help you to find a school for you. Please do not apply before you have a placement school organised.  You will be employed as an unqualified teacher; the rate of pay will depend on the school’s or academy’s pay scale.

If you are not a UK resident, to be eligible to apply for ITT programmes you must have a UK visa (for work and study) that is valid at least the duration of the full academic year (preferably longer). Also see Get into Teaching. Please note, that CTSN SCITT and our partnership schools not able to sponsor or support you with a UK visa application.
